What is Snowmass Discovery?

SnowmassDiscoverylogo.JPG  The mission of Snowmass Discovery, an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is to inspire exploration of Snowmass Village by creating engaging experiences that celebrate the finest alpine Ice Age discovery in North America.

Treasures of the ancient past teaching us stewardship for the future.
Build a solid, enduring organization with a focused, consistent, and active purpose. Deliver compelling new programs that define the Snowmass experience as engaging and transformative ecological learning.

Bringing the Ice Age Discovery to Life

Snowmass Discovery hopes to accomplish these goals by blending the fascinating science emerging from the discovery of a lost, ancient ecosystem, with experiences that change lives and contribute to society and the environment. This is done in partnership with local and regional advisers and collaborators, including:
  • The Denver Museum of Nature and Science
  • Aspen Center for Environmental Studies
  • The Town of Snowmass Village
  • The Aspen Skiing Company
  • Colorado Mountain College
