January 11, 2018 - January 14, 2018 @ Aspen and Snowmass Village
Wintersköl™, Aspen’s annual “toast to winter,” dates back to a quiet January in 1951, when local Aspenites decided to celebrate Aspen’s unique Nordic lifestyle with an eclectic weekend of festivities. The four-day celebration features on-mountain activities, Anderson Ranch’s Wintersculpt, WinterFest, fireworks and much more.
January 13, 2018, 5:30 PM - 9:00 PM @ Snowmass Cross Country Center
By the light of the stars, take part in a 1.2-mile snowshoe or cross-country ski tour around the Snowmass Golf Course. Stop along the way for cocoa and cookies at Anderson Ranch Arts Center. For the stargazers, join an ACES naturalist for a guided tour. At the end of the evening, enjoy a pasta dinner and s’mores under the stars at the Black Saddle Bar & Grille. Moonlit Treks occur on or near the full moon each month, while Starlit Treks occur on or near each new moon (the darkest night of each month).
Reservations required, dinners typically sell out. Bring your own cross country skis, snowshoes or hiking boots; limited snowshoe rentals available.
