Volunteer Opportunities
Through Hands on Help Out, the Town of Snowmass Village taps into the energy and enthusiasm of seasonal community volunteers. Volunteering is a great way to meet new people and help improve our community.

Boards and Commissions
Getting involved with our Boards and Commissions is a great way to provide input and volunteer in the community. View the boards and vacant positions on our Boards and Commissions page.

Ice Age Discovery Center

Volunteers are needed at the town’s Ice Age Discovery Center located at the Snowmass Village Mall. You will be responsible for greeting guests and providing information on the discovery. Training is provided. Experience and or education in paleontology, history, or teaching is helpful, but not required. Contact Sue Whittingham, Guest Services Supervisor for more information.

Adopt-A-Trail or Adopt-A-Park
If you prefer the outdoors, picking up litter along a trail or local park is a great way to get some exercise and beautify your town. Volunteers will help groom trails and parks by cutting back shrubs, mowing, or hedging during the summer months. Contact Ted O'Brien, Parks and Trails Manager for more information.

Landscape Maintenance
Help provide tender loving care to landscape planting throughout Snowmass Village. Volunteers will receive training on landscape maintenance and work one to two hours a week throughout the growing season. Contact Ted O'Brien, Parks and Trails Manager for more information.

Climbing Wall Attendants
The Snowmass Recreation Center will train and certify you to be an attendant at the climbing wall for the 2.5 hours of open climb offered during the week. Volunteers are free to use the wall for free if there aren't any guests. Contact Andy Worline, Director of Parks, Recreation and Trails for more information.

Special Events
The Town of Snowmass Village Tourism Department hosts many different events during summer months and each event depends on excellent community volunteers. Contact Dave Elkan, Sales and Events Manager for more information.
