Each year, the Town Council budgets funding to support local non-profit organizations that meet established evaluation criteria. For 2023 community grants, the Town budgeted $175,000. The Citizen Grant Review Board (CGRB) reviews applications for grant funds and prepares a recommendation for Council’s consideration based on criteria. During a regular meeting of the Town Council on Monday, April 3, Town Council awarded the full budgeted amount as recommended by the Citizen Grant Review Board.
Applications for community grants were available from December 16, 2022 through January 27, 2023. Review criteria used by the Citizen Grant Review Board is as follows: “Health and Human Services agencies that provide a continuum of health care services including prevention, intervention, treatment, education and outreach programs, regardless of the client's ability to pay: and/or non-profit organization that addresses significant problems such as, but not limited to, the natural environment, sustainability, health or welfare of our community and seeks to enrich the quality of life for residents of Snowmass Village”
