November 24, 2014—Snowmass Village, Colo.—The Snowmass Village Town Council will consider a proposal that would allow for the change of ownership of the Krabloonik dog sledding and restaurant operation from Dan MacEachon to interim-owners Gina and Danny Phillips during the regular Town Council Meeting December 1st due to a request from the prospective buyers. This is accelerated from the original January timeline set by Council during a recent regular meeting. The town expects to receive the proposal today, which will be included in the Council packet.
It is expected that the proposal will allow the Phillips to operate the amenity through the Winter Season as they continue to negotiate with the Town on the potential transfer of the lease.
“So far we’ve heard positive feedback on Krabloonik’s new management, and we look forward to learning more about their long term plans for the operation,” said Mayor Markey Butler. “We now have a greater understanding of their opportunities and challenges leading into winter, and we want to accommodate their request in a timely manner.”
A full agenda and packet for the December 1st regular Town Council meeting will be available Thursday, November 27th online at www.tosv.com.
