SNOWMASS VILLAGE POLICE WARN PUBLIC AFTER A RECENT RISE IN THEFTS

Snowmass Village, Colo.- July 30 2015- Snowmass Village Police have received several reports of stolen property over the past two weeks. The majority of stolen items have been bicycles, in addition to one set of golf clubs. Nearly all of these thefts have involved property that was unattended and unlocked.

Some bicycles were taken from bike racks on vehicles; others were taken from areas around residences. The golf clubs were taken from a porch area. The stolen bikes included a downhill bike, two mountain bikes, and two road bikes.

“Although we live in a safe community, it is still important to lock up your valuables”, said Officer Brady Jax of the Snowmass Village Police Department. If you have a valuable piece of equipment Snowmass Police recommend that you take the extra step of securing it inside your residence.
