Construction at Town Park Pond Begins Wednesday, December 12th

Beginning Wednesday, December 12th, construction crews will begin making essential repairs to the pond located at Town Park, near the Snowmass Village Recreation Center. The project scope includes repairing two breaches in the pond dam, repairing the existing spillway, and replacing the water diversion controls.

Construction equipment will be utilizing the dirt rodeo lot for staging during the project, but only during the work week, Monday - Friday. The lot will be open during weekends and during the peak ski week; December 22 - December 30. This is being done to ensure the lot is available when it is needed most for day skier parking.

The pathways along the northwest shore of the pond will be closed on a intermittent and temporary basis during the project, which is expected to be complete by the end of January, 2019. Some seeding and re-vegetation work will occur later in the spring.
