Brush Creek Road Construction

Brush Creek Road Closed Beginning July 13th

The Snowmass Water and Sanitation District (SWSD) and Town of Snowmass Village (TOSV) are teaming up this summer to accomplish two major infrastructure maintenance projects on Brush Creek Road. During the week of July 13th, the SWSD will begin replacing the water line beneath Brush Creek Road, around 20 MPH curve (Phase 1). Afterwards, the Town will take over the next phase of the project to repave the road from Horse Ranch Drive to Sinclair Road (Phase 2). The two phases are expected to take approximately 8 weeks, and a detour will be in place for the duration of the project via Highline and Owl Creek Roads. The coordination of these two major projects will keep the anticipated impacts to a minimum.

We invite you to stay informed via the project website which can be found at tosv.com/projects. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to maintain our core infrastructure for the future of Snowmass Village.

WE CYCLE

WE-cycle has Arrived

Two Bike Share Stations in the Town Park area

Road bikes, mountain bikes and now WE-cycles join the mix in Snowmass Village. WE-cycle’s new point to point Snowmass Village system made its debut on June 15 with the goal of providing an enhanced connection between the Club Commons residential neighborhood and the Rodeo Lot | Town Park RFTA bus stop designed to facilitate the use of multi-modal and public transportation.

The small bikeshare system is comprised of 15 shared bicycles and two stations, one at the Club Commons and one at the Rodeo Lot | Town Park station and provides a faster first/last mile commute to local bus services. Rides are free for up to 30 minutes and $0.50 per minute for each additional minute, a pricing structure intended to discourage recreational use of the bikes.

Signing up for a FREE Ride Pass is easy and takes just a few minutes. One can download the app Transit and then have access to the WE-cycles in Snowmass and to those at 44 more stations in both Aspen and Basalt. Learn more and read the full story by following the link below.

Virtual Town Clean Up Concludes with Real Impacts

COVID-19 couldn't stop the Snowmass Village community from the annual Town Clean Up. In total, 36 pictures were submitted for the Virtual Clean Up Day, and prizes purchased from local businesses were distributed to everyone that participated - thanks to Alpine Bank and the Snowmass Village Rotary Club, who contributed funds, helped organized, and participated in the event.

Thank you to all involved to make the virtual event possible, and a big thank you to those community members that were able to participate and help keep Snowmass Village beautiful.
