A White Christmas
With over 26" of snow falling on Snowmass in the past week, Village residents have been working hard and playing harder. Town crews have been running around the clock to keep our streets safe, but we can't do it alone. Thank you to everyone that has been working hard to keep our walkways clear.
Before the next storm hits, here are a couple of winter weather reminders from our Snowmass Village Police Department as you play, drive, and work in all of that snow:
1) If you're removing snow, please remember that
it is illegal to pile or push snow into the street. Doing so makes it difficult to keep them clear, and snow should be stored in a safe place on individual properties.
2) Make sure your vehicle is ready for
icy road conditions. Adequate snow tires or chains are required during major storms. You should also inspect your wiper blades, and make sure you have a good ice scraper handy to clear your windshield of ice and snow.
3) Have fun, stay warm, and drive safe!
