Roundabout ArtDonor offers sculpture for new roundaboutHave you seen the proposed roundabout sculpture? This is a clay model of the sculpture (pictured left) that may be donated to the Town for display in the middle of the new roundabout. It will be stainless steal and textured, not brown as shown in the rendering. You can view these renderings, a 360 3D video, and a letter from the artist by following the link below. The Town Council has received a recommendation from the Snowmass Arts Advisory Board (SAAB), and it is on their agenda for the next two Town Council meetings - Monday, April 3rd and Monday, April 17th.

Trail Conditions and ClosuresNew online tools available for trail users
We've had some beautiful and sunny weather lately, but don't head for your favorite trail just yet. Many local trails are closed for wildlife protection, and many others are snowy, muddy, and not ready for traffic.
Now, thanks to GIS and the Town's new trail conditions page, you can view current trail conditions and closures. You can also view trails and closures with our wildlife closure map, available through our new GIS Portal. These tools make it easy to plan your hike or ride, all while being a responsible trail user.
Please respect wildlife closures and do not ride on wet and muddy trails.
Winter / Spring Season Closures:- Rim Trail North, including the North Mesa Equestrian Trail: December 1 - May 16
- Sky Mountain Park trails: December 1 - May 16
- Seven Star Trail: December 1 - May 16
- Tom Blake: April 25 - June 21
- Government - Burnt Mountain: May 15 - June 21
The south portion of the Rim Trail is open year-round. Trail closures are strictly enforced by the Town's Animal Services Division, in partnership with Colorado Parks & Wildlife, and there is a zero tolerance policy for trail closure violations. Fines can reach up to $5,000. Wildlife monitoring cameras are in use in closed areas. Thank you for your understanding and respect of wildlife.
