RMVR Car Race - 9am - 5pm Thursday, Sept. 14th

What could be better than looking at vintage cars? Watching vintage cars race!

On Thursday, September 14th, 60 - 70 vintage cars will kickoff the Motoring Classic and Wine Festival weekend in Snowmass Village with a series of exhibition style races in the upper village. The race course will include Upper Brush Creek Road, Lower Carriage Way, and the Wood Road Bridge making a 1.3 mile loop. Each race will be approximately 20 minutes. During the race sessions, the course and roads will be closed or restricted to regular traffic. You can find more details on what to expect and where to watch the race below.

Traffic will be restricted on upper Brush Creek Road and Carriage Way beginning at 7:00am on September 14th. During the race, traffic will be able to pass through the course between race sessions in ten minute intervals and one-way lanes, but motorists should expect delays.
Wood Road will remain open at the bridge but will be reduced to alternating one-way traffic.
Elbert Lane will be closed to general traffic and parking beginning at 7:00 am.

SWFPD Remembers 9/11 Heroes

Join the Snowmass Wildcat Fire Protection District for their 2nd Annual Axes and Arms Climb

The community is invited to reflect and honor those who lost their lives on 9/11/2001 with the firefighters of SWFPD in the 2nd Annual Axes and Arms Climb.

Beginning at 2:00 pm, the fire district will lead a climb from Town Park to the Top of the Village Condos, which is the same elevation the men and women of FDNY made in the first tower of the World Trade Center. Families with small children or others who do not wish to participate in the full climb can join the climb in progress at either the Snowmass Center or the Snowmass Mall to finish the climb with the group.

Upon completion of the climb transportation will be provided back to the Snowmass Town Park for a BBQ which is being generously hosted by Snowmass Fire. Food, drink, yard games and more will be there and we hope that you are too.

Village Shuttle Fall Schedules

Begin Monday, September 18th

Fall is just around the corner, which means off-season schedules for our Village Shuttle routes are coming up.

JAS Labor Day Festival

Brush Creek Road Detour Begins Today

The annual JAS Labor Day Music Festival begins tomorrow, and Brush Creek Road will be closed at Town Park beginning today at 5:30 pm. The closure will be in place until midnight on Sunday, September 3rd.

During this time, please follow the detour around Town Park by using Highline and/or Owl Creek Road.

Town Offices Closed Labor Day

All Town Administrative Offices will be Closed Monday, September 4th

Town Hall and other administrative offices will be closed for the holiday on Monday, September 4th, and will reopen on Tuesday.

The Snowmass Village Recreation Center will be open with normal hours. Enjoy the holiday weekend!
