Town Declares Powder Days to be in Joe's Name

In honor and memory of Joe Coffey, our dear friend and Housing Director for the past 38 years, the Mayor and Town Council have officially proclaimed that the first epic powder day in Snowmass Village each year be known as a Joe Coffey Day. The Town has also committed to building a future housing project in Joe's name, which will be known as the "Coffey Place."

Joe deserves credit for the housing inventory and program that the Town and community benefit from today. Although he has left us, his legacy will live on and and be remembered forever. Help us celebrate his legacy on Joe Coffey Day each year.

Town Unveils Draft Comp Plan

Feedback being gathered through March 1st

The Town and Plan Snowmass Team recently presented the draft comprehensive plan to the community. The 184 page document is a result of over a year's worth of gathering public feedback and planning the future of Snowmass Village.

The Town will be seeking input from the community on the draft plan over the next month before making additional edits. Then, a public hearing draft will be prepared for review and adoption by the Planning Commission and Town Council.

Join the Grant Review Board

3 Seats Open on the Citizen's Grant Review Board

The Town is currently recruiting volunteers to serve on the Citizen's Grant Review Board - a Town advisory board dedicated to allocating annual grants to local non-profit organizations. The board meets twice annually to review applications and make formal recommendations to Town Council to allocate the $100,000 available.

A $50 sales tax rebate is available to all full-time residents that physically reside within Town during the entire year.
