Town Clean Up Day

Join Us Rain or Shine on Friday, May 18 


Rain or shine, the Town will be hosting the 38th annual Town Clean Up Day on Friday, May 18th. Meet at the Daly Lane Depot at 9:00 a.m. to receive area assignments, bags, gloves, raffle tickets, and tickets for lunch. 

At 12 noon, we'll all meet at Town Park for a barbecue style lunch provided by the Snowmass Village Rotary. We look forward to seeing you there!

Town Launches New Website

On Friday, May 4th, the Town is launching our new and improved main webpage; www.tosv.com. It features a fresh design, improved search functions, easy to use navigation, and a series of new tools to make it easier than ever to find Town information online.

Trail Conditions and Closures

Burnt Mountain Area Trails Now Closed.

The Burnt Mountain area closed on April 25th, but there are still plenty of options to choose from for your next hike or ride. Be sure to check out our Trail Conditions and Closures page to make sure you know where to go. Please respect wildlife closures and do not ride on wet and muddy trails. 

Winter / Spring Season Closures:

  • Rim Trail North, including the North Mesa Equestrian Trail: December 1 - May 16
  • Sky Mountain Park trails: December 1 - May 16
  • Seven Star Trail: December 1 - May 16
  • Tom Blake: April 25 - June 21
  • Government - Burnt Mountain: May 15 - June 21
The south portion of the Rim Trail is open year-round. 

Trail closures are strictly enforced by the Town's Animal Services Division, in partnership with Colorado Parks & Wildlife, and there is a zero tolerance policy for trail closure violations. Fines can reach up to $5,000. Wildlife monitoring cameras are in use in closed areas. Thank you for your understanding and respect of wildlife.

Wood Road Construction

Wood Road Construction Begins

Project Timeline Runs May 1st - Early September


The developers of Base Village will begin mobilizing to make required improvements to Wood Road beginning May 1st. During this time, drivers can expect alternating one lane closures and minor delays during construction hours Monday - Friday, with some Saturdays, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The road will be opened with two lanes after hours, during major events, and on weekends.

Project Improvements:

Widening and improving the road is the major focus of this project, but a series of infrastructure improvements and safety features can be expected:

  • Addition of two bus stops 
  • Pedestrian crosswalks
  • Addition of sidewalks
  • Guardrail improvements

Project Area:

Roadway improvements and construction will be taking place from the driveway of the Viceroy, up Wood Rd. to the Crestwood driveway. You can learn more and view a project area map online by following the link below:

BV transit center

Base Village Transit Center Closed

Temporary Bus Stops in Place Until June 1

The Base Village Transit Center closed temporarily on April 23rd for construction and snowmelt improvements. 

Buses will need to be detoured around the Transit Center during this time, which is expected to last through May, 2018. The Transit Center will then re-open and be back to normal before the peak summer season begins. Learn more about this project by following the link below:

Town Announces Thursday Night Concert Lineup


We have announced the full lineup for the 2018 Snowmass Free Concert Series. Celebrating its 27th season in 2018, this summer's concerts, June 9 – August 16, plays 10 consecutive Thursdays on Fanny Hill, in addition to two bonus Saturdays (June 9 and July 21). The lineup showcases reggae, soul, funk, rock, and more.
