   Please Town Council and the mayor, • I’m urging you to break the town’s lease with Krabloonik Dogsledding. • There have reportedly been violations of the lease, including lapses in Krabloonik’s spay/neuter and off-tether programs for the dogs, and the recent Pet Animal Care Facilities Act investigation evidently found noncompliance with state regulations. • Complaints of neglect and abuse at the facility date back decades. In February, an employee was reportedly filmed punching and kicking a dog and slamming the animal to the ground. A former employee reported previously seeing dogs die from exposure to the cold and reported that employees were instructed to leave newborns outside with no heat source. Many of the dogs have apparently been kept on chains for years at a time. Please stop allowing Snowmass Village to be associated with such alleged cruelty.
