The Town of Snowmass Village encourages all events to minimize their impacts on our natural environment. Town staff are available to help event organizers plan events to support the community's environmental ethic, and/or support events that are already taking steps to be green.

What Makes an Event Green?

Events that save energy and reduce solid waste through a variety of tactics, and encourage attendees to do the same through the following:

  • Effective planning
  • Training and education
  • Recycling and/or composting
  • Reducing carbon emissions (reducing the energy use of event operations, encouraging attendees to use public transportation, etc.)
