COVID-19 Updates
We're Here for You The situation around COVID-19 is constantly evolving, but the Town of Snowmass Village remains committed to serving you and providing essential services.
Town Services:Town offices remain closed to the public, but our services are still operating and available to you online or by phone. Trash and Recycling pick ups are occurring on schedule, the Police Department remains available around the clock, and all of our license / permitting applications can be found anytime online. The Village Shuttle is continuing to operate safely by "bombing" buses with disinfectant, limiting the number of seats on each bus, and installing barriers for the drivers. Beginning next month, Public Works employees will begin necessary road maintenance overlays and striping.
The Town Council is also continuing to meet virtually to discuss essential policy and process public hearings. The next Town Council meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 4th. If you would like to "join" the virtual meeting, directions can be found on how to participate as a member of the public in the
meeting agenda. Aid Resources & Assistance
If you or anyone you know is in need, help is out there, and usually no more than a few clicks away. Assistance for things like monthly rent payments, shelter, meal delivery, mental health, employment and many other forms of assistance are available to all Pitkin County residents. Find numerous resources at the Pitkin County COVID-19 page: www.pitkincounty.com/Covid.
In addition, beginning tomorrow, May 1st, Aspen Family Connections will be distributing food to Snowmass Village residents every other Friday. Find additional details below.
Open for Business:
We encourage you to support local businesses that remain open. For an up to date list of essential businesses and local restaurants that are currently offering take out or delivery, visit Gosnowmass.com
Construction Sites:
As of this week, Pitkin County Public Health has allowed permitted construction activity to resume upon receiving approval of a site-specific COVID-19 safety plan. The Town Community Development department has already received and approved nearly 70 applications for job sites to re-open in Snowmass Village. The project must post their Certificate of Approval in a visible location on the job site. Contractors can find additional information and submit their safety plan on the Town's building webpage at tosv.com
Landscaping and Non-Permitted Construction Activity:
Much like construction sites that go through the formal permitting process, landscapers, painters, carpenters, etc. have been allowed to return to their job sites in Snowmass Village, but they are still required to develop and follow COVID-19 operational requirements. Learn more.
Other Businesses:
Non-essential businesses are to remain closed to the public under the current public health order, which is set to expire May 9th. Afterwards, businesses may be allowed to re-open, but with strict operational requirements and protocols. Information about these individual requirements, for each industry, will be posted on our website below for Snowmass Village businesses to access as soon as more information becomes available.
